the best weekends are the ones made of love

I've been MIA for the last 4 days, and for good reason. This weekend was my best friend's wedding weekend, and it was almost the most perfect weekend it could've been. With the exception of a few unexpected fiascos, the whole weekend was full of love, joy, tears, hugs, kisses, and the sense of belonging you only get with family, be it the one you're born with or the one you've gained along the way.

Have you ever in your life seen a more perfect bride? I sure haven't. Photo by MG Photography

Amar's vows you guys...they were amazing beyond amazing.

These bowls were later filled with goldfish and more silk flowers and were the coolest modern centerpieces ever.

This friendship is permanent, because love makes us family.

My paleness was a running joke all weekend. Erica would tell everyone she had me stand beside her because I would make her look darker than Megan would because I'm the whitest person she knows. And it's true. I really am. At one point someone commented that Erica was so pale, and Amar goes, "No, she's not. Have you met Kaitlin yet?!"

Basically, I couldn't have imagined a better weekend and I couldn't ask for a better best friend. Love makes us family, and I am so happy to welcome Amar into my chosen family. Cheers to many years of happiness and many memories yet to be made!

Hahaha tell your mom thanks! I don't even attempt to get tan anymore. It doesn't work. And when I am tan, I look sick, so I actually look better pale!
