changes are coming but friends are the best

September has been a wild wild month...specifically the last couple of weeks. I can't tell you guys anything about it yet but there are big announcements coming soon and I am ridiculously excited about it all!

The craziness has occupied all of my brain and time so I've been a bit absent here. Sorry about that. I've actually gotten my act together and reorganized my planner and editorial calendar so I'll be much more present.

Today, I want to introduce you to a wonderful blog friend turned IRL friend. We actually got to meet in August and it was great! In three weeks I get to spend a whole weekend with her and many other amazing blog friends at the Renew Retreat! Madison has been hanging out in all of my posts this month and I have been so happy to have her there. She's been super understanding during my absentmindedness in the midst of the crazy, which just makes her even more awesome. Get to know her a little better here and then go blog stalk her for hours. You won't regret it!!

My blog is called The Wetherills Say I Do and it's my favorite little place! I blog about all kinds of things in my life, like my marriage, my faith, my passions like graphic design and photography, plus some recipe and DIY posts! It's your typical lifestyle blog but my content is anything but typical, at least I think so, but you can be the judge!

What is your favorite thing about the place you live? What makes it so special?
I live in the city that I went to college in. So what's special about it is the four years of memories that I have from being in college but also all of the new memories I've made since!  If you live in a college town that you used to go to school in, you know how different it is being in college versus actually living in the city. There are all kinds of things you never knew about while you were in school!

What is your favorite thing to eat or drink in the fall?
Apple anything! Last Christmas I discovered the caramel apple spice drink from Starbucks and ever since I've craved fall because of all of the apple flavors. I'm really hoping to go to an apple orchard this year!

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Blog. Was that too easy of an answer? Really though, I started blogging seriously last year because I realized how much free time I had now that I had a job that didn't require me to do any work outside of 8-5. So I got bored, really quickly. One thing you should know about me is I don't have a stop button, so I don't do well sitting still.

What is your favorite season and why?
Summer! I really hate being cold and I get cold extremely easily so I love summer months when I don't have to worry about being cold as much. I love the beauty of fall and spring, too, but I'd be totally fine with summer year round!

What has been speaking to your heart and faith recently?
One thing I've learned over the years is that when you are a follower of Christ, there is no such thing as a coincidence. Things don't just happen. Lately my passions have really been shifting and I know it's the Lord doing something in me! If I wasn't a Christian I would probably just blame it on something else but it's so nice knowing that what's going on is a direct result of the Lord's plan for me!

What is your favorite thing about your current stage of life as a newlywed without children yet?
I love our ability to not be tied down to staying in a specific place. We don't live close to our families either, so I feel like we really are able to have open hands about where the Lord wants to take us next! It's exciting and terrifying all at once.

If you could go on your dream vacation, with an unlimited budget, where would you go, who would go with you, and what would you do?
Anytime someone offers me a free trip (cause you know, it's happened so many times...) I would choose Italy. Over and over I would choose to visit Italy because it's a very special place to me! I think I would love to take our parents for them to get a chance to see Europe and why we love it so much! We'd do a lot of touristy things but we'd also try to experience it like the locals do.

Now go forth and blog stalk. And come back and tell me why you've fallen in love with Madison, because it's pretty much impossible not to!

    1. Well I'm beyond flattered to be included in your favorites list. And yes, that was such a good point. I often think in terms of "just a coincidence" but that so doesn't line up with what I profess to believe. He's got big plans for you, girl.
